Kelly Sibley will start the defence of her overall Grand Prix title when the 2016/17 series gets under way in Liverpool.

The England No 1 is the second seed behind Romania’s Iulia Necula in a strong women’s event which also includes England pair Karina Le Fevre and Maria Tsaptsinos and leading Welsh trio Charlotte Carey, Angharad Phillips and Megan Phillips, as well as Scotland’s Gillian Edwards.

In the men’s event, overall champion Ryan Jenkins does not feature, leaving Scotland’s Gavin Rumgay as the top seed. He is followed by Chris Doran – winner of last season’s final event in London – Darius Knight and Mike O’Driscoll.
