There’s less than a week to go until the closing date for the season’s first Grand Prix event in Liverpool. Entries will stop being taken when the online system closes just before midnight on Thursday 4th August.

The event, which takes place on Saturday 20th & Sunday 21st August at the Lifestyles Tennis Centre in Liverpool, is set to be competed by yet another strong field, meaning the Grand Prix circuit will continue where it left off at the end of last season.

Already entered into main events on the Men’s side are Chris Doran, Darius Knight and Mike O’Driscoll. Putting their name down for the Women’s draw are Karina LeFevre, Charlotte Carey and Gillian Edwards.

It also appears as though the GB Paralympic squad will be using the event as some last minute preparation before they head out to Rio. Already entered from Team GB are Will Bayley, Kim Daybell, Aaron McKibbin, Ross Wilson, Paul Karabardak, David Wetherill and Sue Gilroy.

We can now confirm that the Liverpool Grand Prix will be played on Butterfly Europa tables with Butterfly Europa net and post sets. The competition ball will be the Butterfly G40+ (white).

Just over a month later, following on from Liverpool, will be the Crawley Grand Prix. The second stop of this season’s series heads to the K2 in Sussex.

Following a jam-packed event in Aldershot last season, where just over 200 entrants took part on only 20 tables, we have switched to the larger K2 which has capacity for 30 tables.

The online entry system for this event has just opened and you can complete your online application here.
