Jamie Liu scooped the Pathway to Excellence in Sport award at the Wokingham Borough Sports Council awards evening.
The youngster, the current U11 and U12 National Champion, received his award from RFU president Jason Leonard, England’s most-capped rugby union player and a world cup winner.
Jamie has also been invited to the neighbouring Reading Sports Personality of the Year awards ceremony in January and is on the shortlist of three for the Get Berkshire Active Junior Sports Personality of the Year award, which will be presented in February.
