Liam Pitchford’s 2-1 win over Tiago Apolonia helped his Falcons team to another victory in the Ultimate Table Tennis League in India.

The England No 1 came from behind against world No 40 Apolonia of Portugal to register a 2-1 (8-11, 11-7, 11-8) victory and maintain an unbeaten record in this year’s competition.

It put Falcons 8-4 up against opponents Empowerji Challengers and they went on to win 15-6 to sit second in the league table, three points behind Dabang Smashers after four matches.
