Table Tennis legend Deng Yaping was one of the guests of honour at the official opening of the David Ross Sports Village at the University of Nottingham.
The four-time Olympic champion and six-time world champion passed on her wisdom to university players and also to England cadet Darcie Proud, as well as knocking with the university’s Deng Yaping Scholar, Haoyu (Jenny) Liu.

The David Ross Sports Village was the venue for this year’s PG Mutual National Championships, and David Ross himself was on hand for the official opening ceremony, which was also attended by Table Tennis England Chairman Sandra Deaton.
