Hundreds of English table tennis players and fans will be converging on Ponds Forge International Sports Centre in Sheffield during March for the 2011/12 English National Championships that could decide which players are selected for the Olympics.
The competition already looks fascinating with records set to be broken this year and a top list of senior players competing for the top prize; Paul Drinkhall, Andrew Baggaley, Liam Pitchford, Darius Knight, Daniel Reed, Kelly Sibley and Joanna Parker among the best.
After a successful year for the cadets and juniors it will be interesting to see how far they can go too. Portugal Youth Open Champion Tin-Tin Ho will be watched closely as will Helshan Weerasinghe and triple Junior Nationals Champion Sam Walker.
