Youngsters can learn and practise new table tennis skills in their own time at home with our new series of TT Kidz session videos.
Our TT Kidz Afterschool Club, which was a series of live sessions for youngsters to join, proved to be popular, so on the back of this we created three videos to enable participants to take part in 20-minute sessions whenever they wish, without the time restrictions of joining a live session.
Although inspired by the TT Kidz programme, which is aimed at 7-to-11-year-olds, the videos are suitable for all young players.
The sessions are great opportunity for young people who have table tennis kit at home to get involved and learn the basics of the game or develop their current skills. They can also be a useful tool for schools to enable them to run a TT Kidz session while conforming to social distancing.
We are in the process of developing more sessions and hope to engage with a large group of young people.
Colette Gooding, Programme Lead for TT Kidz at Table Tennis England, said: “We have put these sessions together to allow young people another opportunity to stay involved in table tennis. We hope the session will inspire players to get more involved with the game in the long term and provide opportunities to stay active while at home.”
The first video is embedded below and you can find all three at the TT Kidz Play at Home website.
