Jacob Walton was the overall winner of the table tennis title at the Greater Manchester College Games.

Table Tennis England Development Officer Andrea Holt organised the competition, which was a mixed singles event comprising a round-robin tournament in the morning and knockout in the afternoon.

Walton, of Stockport College, overcame Joshua Knowles (Oldham College) to be crown champion.

The event took place at Bury College and also feature badminton, dodgeball and softball. Almnost 200 participants from nine different colleges competed.

The day was a great success, with a special mention to Bury College BTEC Sport students who volunteered on the day, fulfilling various roles including umpiring, scoring and general guidance.
