The ITTF Foundation and Table Tennis England partners Jockey Club Services were among the medallists at the Sport Business Awards 2020.

The award-winners were announced at an online ceremony hosted by sports broadcaster Hazel Irvine and featuring a raft of sporting stars who revealed the winners.

Jockey Club Services, which provides financial services to clients in the sports industry, including Table Tennis England, was named winner in the Best Business Serving Sport category and also picked up the bronze medal in the Best Professional Services in Sport section.

ITTF Foundation won the bronze medal in the Best Sports Governing Body Initiative for its Parkinson’s World Championships project. The category was won by Swim England.

The Foundation was also shortlisted in the Coronavirus Innovation Award – Communication; the Coronavirus Innovation Award – Compassion; and the Best Club CSR or Community Scheme category for its Slum Ping Pong initiative, but it missed out on the prizes in those categories.

The ITTF Foundation is the charitable and development arm of the ITTF, with a mission to use table tennis as a tool for development and peace by connecting people all over the world, implementing or supporting projects on the field and empowering them to serve as models; making table tennis popular, universal and inclusive.

Another Table Tennis England partner, Rackets Cubed, was shortlisted in the Best Sports Charity (or best use of sport by a charity) category.
