Save the date – National Table Tennis Day is on Thursday July 16th!

It’s a day for the whole table tennis family to come together, have fun, and promote all that is great about our sport.

Last year’s inaugural NTTD was celebrated across England, from beach to mountain top via the Houses of Parliament in the shadow of Big Ben itself and with a cast of thousands sharing their love of the sport.

This year is going to be even bigger, and we want to help you and your club to do your bit.

Can you organise a game in an iconic or unusual location? Or perhaps try to beat a table tennis world record? Or maybe your club can host an open day or a ‘bring a friend’ event?

Whatever you choose to do, the accent is on fun for everyone, and Table Tennis England are here to help with ideas, advice and promotional materials to make sure your event goes with a bang.

We will be asking clubs to register their event online via our website – and we are producing a resource pack to help clubs get the most out of the day. This will include suggestions, publicity posters and advice on engaging with local media and will be available very soon.

Table Tennis England chief executive Sara Sutcliffe said: “National Table Tennis Day is a chance to celebrate everything that is great about our sport and to reach out to potential new players and volunteers.

“We’d love clubs across England to organise special events and make it a truly national celebration, with the emphasis on fun for people of all ages and abilities.”

Meanwhile, before our national celebration, why not join in with World Table Tennis Day on Bank Holiday Monday, April 6?

The International Table Tennis Federation (ITTF) aims to cover the globe on that day, and has produced an online toolkit to help everyone to get involved.
