Table Tennis England hosted delegates from the other Home Nations table tennis associations for a two-day British Table Tennis Federation summit in Milton Keynes.
On the agenda was working together to support aspiring Olympians by maximising opportunities presented by UK Sport investment.
UK Sport, which invests National Lottery and Exchequer money to maximise the performance of UK athletes at the Olympics and Paralympics, has recently changed its funding model for the next Olympic cycle to offer additional support to sports which may not have immediate medal-winning potential.
The meeting delegation comprised Julian Boyer, Rhian Pearce and Ryan Jenkins from Table Tennis Wales; Terry McLernon and David Fairholm from Table Tennis Scotland; Arnold Morgan from Ulster Table Tennis and Table Tennis England Chairman Sandra Deaton, Chief Executive Sara Sutcliffe, Director of Sport Simon Mills and Technical Director Alan Cooke.
The meeting also included discussions on Home Nations events, plus updates on the qualifying process for the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, and table tennis at the 2022 Commonwealth Games in Birmingham.
