Lois Peake has been called up to England’s European Championship squad in place of Tin-Tin Ho.

Tin-Tin was forced to withdraw as she has not recovered from theĀ ankle injury which also kept her out of the School Games earlier this month.

Subject to entry procedures, Peake will join the three other team members – Kelly Sibley, Karina Le Fevre and Maria Tsaptsinos – in Ekaterinburg, Russia.

Peake was part of the England squad, also featuring Ho and Tsaptsinos, which finished seventh at the European Youth Championships this summer.

Simon Mills, Table Tennis England’s Head of Coaching and Performance, said: “We’re naturally disappointed for Tin-Tin but this gives an opportunity for Lois to step up and show what she is capable of on the senior international stage.”

The championships get under way next Friday.
