National #TableTennisDay is here and hundreds of events across the country will ensure the celebration goes with a swing!

It’s all about shouting our sport from the rooftops and encouraging people to pick up a bat and have a game – we know devotees and the uninitiated alike will love it.

This is the sixth annual #TableTennisDay and the table tennis community is playing a key role as ever as clubs and leagues feature prominently.

But there are numerous other events at schools, workplaces, leisure centres and shopping centres, and organisations involved range from councils to Scout groups and care providers to businesses.

They spread from Devon to Northumberland and Liverpool to Bexhill-on-Sea, meaning the celebration will reach all corners of England – and that’s just the events we know about!

  • Blue = open to the public
  • Yellow = closed to the public
  • Red = Table Tennis England showcase event

That includes Bristol, where Table Tennis England will hold its flagship event, starting in the city centre where shoppers will have the chance to take on Commonwealth Games medallist Maria Tsaptsinos and England youth international Louis Price.

The focus then shifts to Chester Park Junior School, where we will be staging the national launch of TT Kidz, our initiative to get 7-to-11-year-olds into table tennis.

Share your stories to win a fantastic prize!

To co-incide with the launch, one school can win a superb TT Kidz kitbag, containing 16 eco durable bats, a box of 100 TT Kidz balls and 30 TT Kidz target cups – just keep an eye on our Twitter page and retweet our message for a chance to win.

We also want to see your photos and videos of the day – and if you do so, you will be in with a chance of winning one of our fantastic prizes!

Why not take on one of our England team challenges and see if you can do better than Liam Pitchford or Sam Walker? Even if you can’t match the superstars, your efforts could still bag you a prize!

All you need to do is post your video attempt on Twitter or Instagram using the hashtag #TableTennisDay and you will be automatically entered into the prize draw!

But whatever you are doing, don’t forget to upload a photo or video to social media. We’ll be giving out prizes throughout the day for those who post using the hashtag #TableTennisDay.

Here’s what you could win:

  • A visit by a Team England star to your school / club / workplace
  • A Commonwealth Games t-shirt signed by the 2018 squad, featuring: Liam Pitchford, Paul Drinkhall & Sam Walker, David McBeath, Ross Wilson, Kim Daybell, Tin-Tin Ho, Maria Tsaptsinos, Denise Payet, Kelly Sibley & Felicity Pickard
