Members of Deighton TTC celebrate a successful season

Deighton TTC have racked up a string of achievements this season.

The club, which was formed in 2007, won the Huddersfield Concorde Handicap final after reaching the final for the second year running. They also reached the FD Logistics Cup final for the fourth consecutive season, only this time to be runners-up to Kingsmith A.

Deighton player Tomasz Peitrzyk won the Division One player averages with 58 wins from 63 played (92%) and the club also topped the Division Two player averages, with Krzystof Sobkiewicz winning 66 games from 66 played for a 100% record.

Sobkiewicz’s performance helped Deighton C to join their A and B teams in the top flight for next season and also saw him named most improved player. The most improved junior award went to Marcus Matthews, playing in his first full season for the club.

Deighton TTC now have five teams playing in the Huddersfield league and three of them will be playing in the top division for 2014/15, showing the growth and achievement since the club was formed.

The club also has three Level 2 UKCC coaches with another currently completing his Level 1UKCC coaching course.
