The GB Deaf Table Tennis squad will be participating in the European Deaf Championships in Czestochowa in Poland from May 1st to May 8th.

The squad comprising of Front row L to R, Alireza Kamrani-Masooleh, Nasim Khakbaznejad, and James Meyers. Back row Nicholas Gilmour, David Evans (coach), and Andrew Calloway will be the strongest Deaf Table Tennis squad ever to represent GB. The main aim will be to improve the current GB No 5 standing in Europe and anything after that will be a bonus.

The team participated in the Deaflympics in Taiwan in 2009 and came away with the highest individual world ranking ever achieved by a GB player Andrew Calloway No 47 and a team ranking of 12th in the world, and this was achieved with 2 juniors in the men’s side.

The team would like to thank the following hearing players for their help in the preparations for the Europeans. Andy Dixon, Paul Worrallo, Lee Hipkins and Diane Brooks which was greatly appreciated.
