I was amazed this week when I was informed that Friday’s Photos has had 45,000 page views since its inception – and that is without any Facebook or Twitter views and comments.
So an enormous big thank you to every one who has contributed to making Friday’s Photos such a success whether by viewing the photos, contacting me to provide information or to pass comments on to friends.
Some people have been regular contributors and many people have said how much they have enjoyed looking at the pictures each week even if they don’t know who the players and officials are.
I must express a great debt of gratitude to Paul Stimpson, Table Tennis England Senior Communications Officer who was so supportive of the concept and along with Jamie Gordon, Marketing and Communications Assistant, have been responsible for ensuring the photos go up each week.
What is interesting is the variation in the number of views each week from as little as 87 up to 2,136. The average number of weekly views is 738, quite incredible. On the two weeks where National Champions were shown the Men had 1,245 hits whilst the Ladies only 972.
I am taking a break over the Christmas period but will return in the New Year with a slightly different slant on pictures but I hope you will all continue to keep looking. In the meantime if you need a Photo fix don’t forget that all the pictures can be found under ‘About’, ‘From the Archives’ and then ‘Fridays Photos’. Don’t forget to contact me with any missing and/or additional information [email protected]
My best wishes to you and yours for a happy Christmas and peaceful 2016.
