Over the last few months I have been privileged to have received from Arthur Clark of Essex a regular supply of his photographs going back over four decades. A time consuming job to scan such a vast collection. Thank you Arthur for allowing me to share these.

Although the photos are mainly based around tournaments in the South East, particularly in Essex, there are many images of players from all over the country including several who went on to gain international honours later in their playing career.

So, enjoy looking back at not only players and officials in their earlier days but some of those wonderfully colourful shell suits.

Arthur’s collection is enormous, as is the collection of photos which Jose Ransome has loaned, which have been featured the last couple of weeks. Consequently, I will highlight images from both collections for a while.
