As it appears there is a certain international following to Friday’s Photos I thought this week I would continue with a series of images from the wonderful photo album from Vice-President, Derek Tyler, with photographs by Dennis George, taken at the World Championships in Stockholm in 1957.
It is the turn of the Swaythling Cup (Men’s Team event) and Corbillon Cup (Women’s Team event). The former was won by Japan who beat Hungary in the final, whilst the ladies’ Japanese team overcame Romania to take the women’s title.
