To celebrate John Hilton’s wonderful achievement at the European Championships 40 years ago in winning the Men’s Singles title, this week, Friday’s Photos shows pictures of John over several years as a player, England Captain, entertainer in the Table Toppers and current President of the Veterans English Table Tennis Society.

Over the past six months I have received numerous requests for information or help with research from individuals and organisations both at home and abroad. It is always a pleasure to be able to help where I can. It can be time consuming however, so this week will be the last week for a while for ‘Friday’s Photos’ to give me a little more time for my own research projects.
