The UK Fire Service Sport will be holding the annual table tennis championships in London on Sunday April 17.

The Championships is open to all UK Fire & Rescue operational, non-operational & support staff past and present, and all playing standards are welcomed to take part on what will be a fun event.

A table tennis taster session and master class will also be available for boys & girls, guests and spectators.

The venue will be London Shoreditch’s Britannia Leisure Centre, Hyde Rd. London N1 5JU, from 10am until 4pm.

All entrants will automatically be required to take part in the singles & doubles competition unless otherwise indicated. Entrants will be drawn into groups of four or more and will then play each other on a round-robin basis, with the top two advancing to the knockout stages. All matches will be best of 5 games up to 11. The final order in a group will be decided as per ITTF Regulation 3.7.5.

Consolation singles will be held for entrants who fail to make qualification into the main draw on a straight knockout basis.

There will also be a women’s and a veteran’s tournament, depending on entries.

If you are interested in taking part, please send your name and contact details to Mr Chris Beckley, national secretary, on 07958 735935 or email [email protected]
