The England team enjoyed one of their best European Championships for some time, improving on their performance earlier in the year at the World Championships in Moscow and continuing their progression towards the Commonwealth Games in Delhi.
Unlike the World Championships which run team and individual events on alternate years the European Championships contains both, although it was the team event where our strength shone through, with the men’s team finishing 10th and the women just missing out on promotion in 20th position.
