The Heritage Oil banner is unveiled at the Primary Schools' International in Blackburn

The English Schools’ Table Tennis Association (ESTTA) has announced a new sponsorship agreement with Heritage Oil Limited.

As part of its extensive programme to promote the playing of table tennis in schools, ESTTA selects teams to play in the Home Countries Primary and Senior Schools’ Internationals and the International School Sport Federation (ISF) World Schools’ Table Tennis Championships.

The generous grant from Heritage Oil to support English Schools’ International Squads will allow ESTTA to reduce the contribution made by players towards the cost of travel and accommodation.  The Jersey-based company expressed their pride in supporting schools’ table tennis.

John Blackband, Chairman of ESTTA, said: “This financial assistance from Heritage Oil together with the continuing agreement with Ransome Sporting Goods and a grant from Table Tennis England allows the Association to positively organise and participate in a range of school based competitions and activities.”

The Home Countries Schools’ International events are for selected teams of boys and girls at Under 11/14/16/18 levels.  The ISF event is for a delegation of representative school teams (boys and girls) – all players from the same schools and nationally selected teams (boys and girls).

The squad of 24 players competing in this year’s Home Countries International in Perth, Scotland from June 26-28 2015 will be the first to benefit from this Heritage Oil grant.
