Kelly Sibley and Jo Drinkhall are likely to feature in the early televised matches

England’s women will be the first into action when the European Team Championships get under way on Wednesday – and their opening match against Lithuania will be televised.

The squad of Joanna Drinkhall, Kelly Sibley, Tin-Tin Ho and Hannah Hicks will be on Table 1 when the action starts in Lisbon at 10am UK time and will therefore feature on the ITTF’s live streaming of the event.

The women will be in action twice on the opening day – their second match is against Wales at 4pm. In between, the men’s squad of Liam Pitchford, Paul Drinkhall, Sam Walker and Darius Knight open their campaign against Luxembourg at 1pm.

Thursday’s action begins with the men on the TV table against Turkey at 10am, before finishing their group matches against Finland at 4pm. The final women’s group match sees England tackle Azerbaijan at 1pm.

Assuming they qualify, the positional play-offs begin for the women at 10am on Friday and for the men at 1pm the same day.
