England’s men have been drawn to play Greece and Netherlands in Group G of the qualifying competition for the 2017 European Championships.

England’s women will face Germany and Slovenia in Group A.

The countries play each other home and away over the course of late 2016 and early 2017.

England men will be at home to Greece on November 1 and away to the Netherlands on November 22, 2016.

The women have three of their dates – away to Germany on September 27, at home to Slovenia on November 22 and at home to Germany on December 13, 2016.

The 2017 dates have not yet been released.

Simon Mills, Head of Coaching & Performance at Table Tennis England, said: “This is a fantastic opportunity for the men – we have a strong enough team to win that group and qualify for the Championship Division.

“For the women, it’s fantastic to get the chance to play against Germany and to face the best in Europe on home soil in England. It will really help to promote the women’s game.”
