England’s Gavin Evans is one of just 12 coaches from around the world selected to attend the ITTF’s High Level Coaching Course next month.

Evans, who presided over England’s impressive Team World Cup performance in Tokyo, where they beat hosts and second seeds Japan, will join the other delegates for the course from December 6-11.

The 12 international coaches will study alongside 12 Swedish coaches under course lecturers of the highest level, including ITTF High Performance Elite Coach, Massimo Costantini.

Evans was one of only three Europeans to be invited by the ITTF to attend the course in Halmstad, Sweden, following an application process.

The course is intended for high level coaches currently working with players on a regular basis and will consist of both theoretical and practical sessions which will have a common thread, deepening the coaches’ skills and knowledge.
