Werder Bremen has just announced two exciting new signings to their Bundesliga team, world number 11 Chih-Yuan Chuan from Taiwan and our very own Paul Drinkhall.

This isn’t Drinkhalls first time in the Bundesliga, having previously played for SV Plüderhausen and Goennern whilst being based out of Sheffield, this time round he will be moving to Bremen to train and play with the talented squad.

Drinkhall and Chaun will join teammates Adrian Crisan (26) and Constatin Cioti (165) to form the Werder Bremen squad. Living and training with players of this standard should help Drinkhall raise his game further, something that has been evident with Liam Pitchford who also plays in the Bundesliga, arguably the most competitive league outside of China!

“Our team has a good mix of youth and experience with these guys, we want to achieve great things.”

“With Paul Drinkhall we have a great future European young talent in our ranks. We hope that he can continue to develop with us,” said Werder’s team manager Sascha Greber
