Last year's National Championship finalists could meet again in Bristol

The draw is out now for the Bribar Bristol Grand Prix (November 16-17, 2013) which is ready to welcome it’s record-high number of entrants as well over 200 players are set to descend on the University of the West of England.

The magnitude of the record entry meant that playing times and schedules have had to be extended, while some players had to be turned away due to the popularity of the event.

Amongst the 213 entries to the Bribar Bristol Grand Prix are great rivals Joanna Drinkhall and Kelly Sibley who are set to go head-to-head in a winner-takes-all clash for the No.1 spot in the English rankings.

Last month Sibley overtook Drinkhall as the English No. 1 by a single point, meaning that a result for either player in a head-to-head clash would mean a position at the top of the domestic standings.

Not to be outdone, the Men’s Singles is bolstered by a strong field including four-times English National Champion Paul Drinkhall, 11-times Welsh National Champion Ryan Jenkins and winner of 10 national titles, Darius Knight.

There will also be all the usual banded events for players of all abilities from across the country on Saturday and you can follow all of the action live on the ETTA’s twitter account @ETTAtabletennis

A new ‘paperless’ programme will also be trialled for this weekend which you can see at the link below. Note: this means there will not be any paper programmes available at the event itself – wall charts will still be provided.
