2012 World Championship of Ping Pong semi-finalist, Chris Doran, maintained his form in the hard bat form of the game with another exceptional performance as he cruised to the latest WCPP Qualifying win at Draycott TTC.

Doran, also the defending Champion for the British Grand Prix series that begins in Liverpool this weekend (August 17-18th), was in sublime form to coast through the knock-out stages without dropping an end.

He beat Graham Sandley 15-12, 15-13 in the quarter-final before racing past Ryan Fellows 15-9, 15-7 in a one-sided semi-final.

At the final hurdle he met former Commonwealth Games medalist Andrew Rushton who had defeated the Champion from the previous WCPP Qualifier, Denis Neale, in his semi-final.

However, Rushton was no match for Doran in the final as one of the tournament’s top prospects won 15-11, 15-13 to seal the main cash prize.

The next event in the WCPP Qualification series will take place at Draycott on September 28th, 2013. Information on how to enter can be found at the links below, where you can also find the latest results and ranking information.
