The First Weekend of the Womens British League is taking place this weekend in Barnsley

DHS Greenhouse Progress, promoted from Division 1 last year showed that they aim to take another Championship this season, the Premiership.

On the first day the team of Egle Adomelyte, Tressa Armitage (replacing Fei Ming Tong in last years squad) and Rachael Farquhar completed wins over Draycott and Long Eaton, Thorntons TT and Knighton Park. Today’s match against their closest challengers Ormesby should be an interesting one. Egle Adomelyte leads the averages undefeated so far.

Poole Ladies and Halton TTC are tied unbeaten at the top of Division One as are Sportingbet Guernsey A and Burton Uxbridge in Division Two, something will have to give in their matches against each other today also. There are clear leaders in all the other three divisions at the end of day 1, Byng Hall A, in Division 3, Halton TTC 2 in Division 4 and AICES in Division 5 all have unblemished records so far.
