Deighton Table Tennis Club’s junior players are making great strides in the Huddersfield League.
The club expanded its league entry to include a sixth team – made up of juniors – in the league this season and after 13 matches in Division Three they have an impressive record of eight wins and five draws.
They are one of only two clubs to still be undefeated in the division and are looking to win promotion to Division Two at the first attempt.
Deighton TTC also has three teams through to the Huddersfield Concorde Handicap Cup semi-finals. Deighton F (the juniors) will play their team A club-mates, with Deighton C in the other semi-final looking to setup an all-Deighton final.
The club’s growth has seen two more members becoming qualified UKCC Level 1 coaches, which will help Deighton lead coach Paul Simpson as he takes on the development officer role for the Huddersfield League.
