Crawley & Horsham are aiming to notch a double double at the ELCC finals at Westfield Table Tennis Club in Wellingborough this weekend.
Having won both the Junior events – the Carter Cup for boys and the Bromfield Trophy for girls – last season, both teams have qualified to defend their titles.
In the Carter Cup, last year’s winning duo of Josh Bennett and George Hazell are joined in the squad by James Smith, while the Bromfield Trophy pairing of Kate Cheer and Alice Hazell have been reinforced by the addition of Isabelle Joubeily.
In the Senior events, Leicester will defend the J M Rose Bowl for women with a change to the line-up. Karen Smith returns, but Lois Peake is not playing and Shirley Pickering comes in to the line-up.
The defending champions are missing from the men’s Willmott Cup, however, Chester/Ellesmere Port having been eliminated in the qualifiers.
The Willmott Cup is the oldest domestic table tennis competition in the calendar, having first been played in 1935.
The Senior events take place on Saturday, with the Juniors in action on Sunday. Spectators are welcome and there is no admission charge. The club is based at Weavers Leisure Centre.
These will be the last ELCC Finals presided over by the ELCC Chairman, Diane Webb, who is stepping down after 10 years in the role.
