The Grand Prix circuit moves south, with Crawley the next destination on 23rd & 24th September. Gavin Rumgay and Karina LeFevre will head to the K2 centre as the number one seeds.
In the Men’s event, Gavin Rumgay will face tough competition from Darius Knight, Michael Tauber, Mike O’Driscoll – who rolled back the years to reach top form in Liverpool last month – Ryota Kawai and Ismaila Akindiya. All six men capable of claiming the top title, but they might not have it all their own way and would be foolish to underestimate youngsters Alex Ramsden, Gabriel Achampong, Callum Evans and Middlesex’s Alim Hirji who complete the top 10.
With no Iulia Necula, winner in Liverpool, and no English number one Kelly Sibley, Karina LeFevre will be hoping to get back to winning ways as the top seed in the Women’s draw. LeFevre, who will no doubt start the favourite, will have to be careful of a number of young English stars looking to cause an upset or two. Emma Torkington will start as second seed, with Yolanda King, Lois Peake, Emily Bolton and Kate Cheer seeded three, four, five and six respectively.
