Table Tennis England is looking for a press officer to take its coverage of the British League Premier Division to a new level.

The British League is our premier domestic league, packed with top-quality players and exciting matches. The Premier Division features seven teams from England, Scotland and Ireland and runs across 12 weekends of fixtures throughout the season, from September to May.

The press officer will:

• Write website previews in the week before each round of fixtures
• Write website reports after each round of fixtures
• Post on social media to promote content
• Write one-off articles as required
• Attend a small number of matches (overnight travel may be required)
• Liaise with teams to source content including video content

The skills required are: Good written English, knowledge of sport in general and table tennis in particular, proficiency in WordPress website editing platform and, preferably but not essentially, video editing skills.

It is anticipated that the role will take up approximately five hours per round of fixtures, plus any extra hours if attending matches. A fee of £1,200 is available against an agreed workplan, to be paid incrementally in arrears on submission of invoice. Travel expenses and other reasonable out-of-pocket expenses will be paid.
