Table Tennis England’s Coach North Development Officer Sally Shutt has graduated with distinction in her Post Graduate Diploma in Elite Coaching Practice.
The two-year course at the University of Central Lancashire in Preston involved both study at the university and distance learning.
The modules covered include Coaching Philosophy, Issues in Performer Development, Coaching Analysis and Planning for Development.
The final work-based learning module is a portfolio to evidence that the relevant theories of sports coaching have been contextualised and applied within their own sporting environment.
At the same time, Sally has achieved her UKCC Level 4 qualification.
She said: “Whilst I found the qualification quite challenging it also really opened my mind to new ideas and concepts in coaching and made me self-reflect on my current coaching practice.
“The opportunity to discuss and share best practice with other sports is also really useful.’’
