Clubs from across the country joined a Table Tennis England webinar to take them through the Sport England Community Emergency Fund.
The first in a series of planned webinars for table tennis clubs, the topic followed the Sport England announcement of a £195million package to help sport and physical activity through the coronavirus ‘lockdown’. Part of this package is a £20million Community Emergency Fund.
The Community Emergency fund has been developed by Sport England to deliver immediate funding to those most in need. It is specifically targeted towards organisations which have a role in supporting the nation to be active, but are experiencing short-term financial hardship or ceasing of operations due to the current crisis.
A total of 18 clubs booked on to find out more about the fund, the eligibility criteria, and how they could apply for a grant between £300 and £10,000.
Table Tennis England is looking to ensure that clubs and leagues have access to all of the information they need, are able to remain connected to the table tennis family, and plan for the future. The webinar series is one of the ways that we are reaching out to the club network to ensure that everyone has access to the support they need.
The full recording of the webinar, and the slides, can be found below.
The next in the series is a clubs update and Q&A session with our Chief Executive, Sara Sutcliffe. This session will take place on Friday April 17 at 1pm. Click here to book your place.
