Keith Adams on good form for Ramsden Reds

Ramsden Reds scored their second win of the Season in the first division of the Central Essex Summer Table Tennis League- and they top the table after beating OCs A 4-1. Hard-hitting newcomer – nationally ranked Veteran Keith Adams notched up wins over Robert Burton and Daniel Berry and had a hand in a doubles win with Dave Calleja. Ace defender Robert Burton did well to down the challenge of Dave Calleja 11-7, 11-8, 11-6.

In division two Elmtree Excalibur A did well to beat Ramsden Rockets 3-2. Elmtreeā€™s Rod Maclennan won twice and this included a last-gasp 12-10, 5-11, 13-11, 8-11, 14-12 victory over the previously undefeated Paul Sturton. OCs B ran out 3-2 winners against Ramsden Raiders although neither Nat Ravlic or Frank Hodge could get the better of Dave Carter. An inform Carter impressed by beating Nat Ravlic 11-9, 11-6, 11-8 and Frank Hodge by a nail-biting 11-5, 11-7, 4-11, 10-12, 15-13 margin.

OCs C ran out 3-2 winners against Chelmsford A. Paul Nicol stole the show. He beat Mick Hayes 11-8, 11-6, 10-12, 11-6 and then most impressively David Porter 4-11, 11-9, 10-12, 11-3, 11-8. Danbury C also won 3-2. They beat Elmtree Graphics B with Dave Powell winning twice. He beat Dave Moles 5-11, 11-8, 6-11, 11-9, 12-10 and Steve Siggs 11-5, 11-7, 11-6. Danbury C beat Chelmsford A 4-1. Gordon Gatherall was on good form. He beat Paul Nicol 11-7, 11-8, 11-8 and Dave Parker 11-7, 11-8, 11-7.

Felsted RBL ran out 4-1 winners against Danbury D in a well contested division four match. Ashley Butler won a hard fought encounters against Martin Knights 11-9, 11-5, 8-11, 7-11, 11-8 whilst Ian Butler won twice. He beat Eamon Hall 11-5, 11-9, 11-9 whilst he beat Martin Knights 11-8, 11-9, 12-10. Chelmsford B beat OCs F 3-2. Karl Baldwin was the Chelmsford match-winner. He beat Aswin Siam 11-9, 11-3, 11-9 and Joel Rowden 11-4, 11-6, 11-2.
