A stunning victory for Charlotte Carey over Sean Cullen sealed a shock 4-4 draw for bottom side Kingfisher over league leaders Sycamore.

The ‘Princess of Wales’ was in inspired form to overcome a battling Cullen, taking her ninth match point to win 17-15 in the fifth.

The sixteen year olds remarkable victory over England’s number 14 further reinforced her vast potential in a moment that team mate Richard Andrews described as her ‘coming of age.’

Carey’s win sealed a point for her struggling side, and she admitted that she was delighted with the victory.

“I’m really pleased. I was 10-6 up and then he came back to 11-10 and then I was really nervous and couldn’t stop shaking. But I was really happy with how I played. He’s a class player. He didn’t play at his best because he must have been nervous but I thought I had it wrapped up but then something just clicked and he came back and then I got more tense and got more cagey but I got there and I’m really pleased.”
