With just two events left, the battle for Grand Prix prizemoney is hotting up as the circuit rolls into Blackpool this weekend.

Blackpool Sports Centre hosts two days of fevered competition across the bands, and many players will have their eye on making decisive moves in the standings ahead of the final event at Redbridge, London, on May 9 and 10.

Defending champion Karina Le Fevre heads the women’s field and will again be challenged by her two closest rivals in a tight league table – second-placed Emma Vickers and third-placed Abbie Milwain.

In the men’s, Chris Doran has built up a virtually unassailable lead, but will not be in Blackpool, giving the challengers a chance to close the gap. The field is headed by Ryan Jenkins.
