Clubs, leagues and coaches can now apply for funding for items of PPE and cleaning equipment under the Be TT initiative – and the deadline for applying has been extended until August 3.
Be TT Year 4 funding is geared towards supporting PremierClubs and leagues to be in a good place to resume table tennis activity when Government restrictions are lifted and indoor sport resumes.
Applicants will now be able to put 20% of a funding application towards purchasing Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and cleaning products. For example, if a club applied for the full amount of £500, £100 can be allocated towards this.
The application will still need to part of a wider funding bid. You can find details of the type of project we fund by clicking here. To apply for this fund, please click here.
A club or league which has already submitted an application will be able to revise it to add in an allocation towards buying protective equipment. This can be done via the confirmation email they received after submitting their application.
PremierClubs and leagues which are not in a position to start new activity and which are therefore not submitting a bid for wider Be TT funding can still apply for a smaller amount of £50-£100 of funding to purchase PPE equipment and cleaning products.
Please click here to apply. You will be asked to submit a risk assessment or plan of how the PPE will enable you to return to play. The amount of funding we are able to allocate will be dependent on the number of applications received.
Licensed coaches who receive 60% or more of their income from coaching can also apply to the Be TT “Ready to return fund”. This is to allow coaches to prepare to return to coaching when Government guidelines allow.
Self-Employed Licensed coaches can apply for up to £50- £100 of funding (amount of funding allocated will be dependent on the number of applications received) to be put towards PPE equipment. Coaches must have a Table Tennis England coach license and receive over 60% of their income from coaching. You will be asked to submit a risk assessment or plan of how the PPE will enable you to return to play. To apply for this fund, please click here.
To allow applications to be submitted with the additional criteria outlined above, the deadline will be extended until Monday August 3. Applications will then be reviewed and we will aim to get back to you within 2 weeks. Any questions, please email [email protected]
