Back in December, four-time Olympic Gold medallist Matthew Pinsent led the ‘Class of 2012’ photograph which celebrated how National Lottery funding has helped transform our Olympic sports.

Featuring an athlete from all 47 Olympic and Paralympic sports the iconic photo was used to represent the thousands of British athletes who benefit from Lottery funding everyday.

Pinsent said: “I am honoured to be able to celebrate the National Lottery’s investment with these talented athletes who are hoping to take centre stage next year. The Lottery really has been the catalyst for the change in British sporting success.”

Following on from that day, where table tennis players Joanna Parker and Will Bayley attended, a couple of short videos have been compiled which involve interviews with Paralympic medal hopeful Bayley.

He stars in his own video where he talks about his top tips, inspirations and best memories including when emotions got the better of him once: “I remember really crying.”

Meanwhile, he plays a key role in the other video alongside other athletes such as Hockey’s Helen Richardson and Athletics’ Marlon Devonish.
