Andrew Baggaley was eliminated at the group stage of the Polish Open men’s singles in Warsaw today.

The Milton Keynes player won his second group match against Marcos Madrid of Mexico 4-1 (11-6, 12-15, 13-11, 11-6, 11-7) this morning.

However, yesterday’s 4-1 defeat to Artur Bialek of the host nation (11-13, 11-13, 8-11, 11-2, 4-11) proved crucial as the group went to a three-way tie. And it was Madrid’s 4-0 victory over Bialek which saw the Mexican move through to the knockout stages on countback.
