Up-and-coming player Bethany Ellis has been honoured at the Preston Sports Awards.

The 11-year-old won the award for Achievement/Performance of the Year by a Junior Female and was at the Preston Guild Hall to pick up her award.

It was a double celebration as Bethany’s coach Paul Grayham was highly commended in the Special Recognition/Service to Sport category.

Bethany is the current No 2 on the national Under-12 rankings and has in the last year won silver medals at both the Under-12 National Cup and the Under-12 Girls’ Singles at the U10-U13 National Championships.She is due to compete again at the National Cup in Blackpool next month.
