The junior boys team battled hard in Linz Austria at the Junior and Cadet Open, taking victories against Finland, Austria B and Serbia enroute to the quarter-finals where they met the second seeds Hungary. This was to be the end of their journey as a team, but they took it to the wire, stretching their hungarian counterparts to 3-2, with Sam Walker finding top form to defeat former European number 1 Tamas Lakatos 3-0 (11-6, 11-5, 12-10).
