The English/Hungarian pair of Liam Pitchford partnered with Gergey Perei have reached the semi finals and will play Honor Szocs and his Danish partner Jonathan Groth tomorrow morning. The English Hungarian pair had a excellent quarter final win over Chrostoph Smitl and Arne Holter from Germany by three games to one after despatching the Belgian pairing of Julian Indeherberg and Emilian Vanrossomme in a pulsating five game match in the last 16.
In the Junior Boys last 16 Liam lost to Simon Gauzy of France – Laim took the first game but the French player responded to take the next four winning the match 4-1.
No luck in the Cadet Doubles the German pair of Theresa Kraft and Nina Mittelham were too strong for Emily Bates and Tressa Armitage winning in three close sets
In the Cadet Singles Consolation Tressa Armitage is in the final to face Daria Chernova of Russia who defeated England’s other entrant Emily Bates in the semi finals in 5 sets 11-5 in the fifth
