Applications for the position of Table Tennis England Chairman are open, with elections for three Elected Deputy Chairmen to follow in the coming months.
As laid down in the Government’s Code for Sports Governance, the Chairman must be appointed by the Board following an open and transparent application process.
That process is now open and more details can be downloaded from the bottom of this page, or from our Election page by clicking here.
The closing date is March 27, after which a shortlist will be drawn up by the Nominations Committee, which comprises three independent Directors (Mark Quartermaine, Andrew Nixon and Dee Paterson) and Elected Directors Susie Hughes and Keith Thomas. Interviews will be held on April 4.
A recommended candidate will then be put forward to the Board, with the intention of announcing an appointment in mid-May. The Chairman takes office for a four-year period at the end of the AGM on June 29, 2019.

Alongside the appointment of the Chairman, an election will take place for the three Elected Deputy Chairmen.
Company Members will be invited to nominate individuals through an open process beginning in the last week in April, when Nomination Papers will be sent to all Company Members and published on our website.
The timetable for the election period is as follows:
- May 14: Last date for receipt of Nomination Papers by Table Tennis England.
- May 23: Ballot papers to be issued by the Returning Officer (assuming that more than three nominees are put forward). NB All nominees will be given an equal opportunity to present their Election Statement and biographical details to Company Members during the election period, via the Table Tennis England website, newsletter and with the ballot papers.
- June 11: Closing date for submission of ballot papers
- June 12-18: Votes to be counted on a date to be confirmed, with the results announced as soon as possible after the count.
As with the Chairman, the Elected Directors will take up their positions at the AGM on Saturday, June 29.
