Table Tennis England has named Premier Education Group as its official primary schools delivery partner.

The partnership will see Premier deliver table tennis in schools across England, primarily by providing TT Kidz sessions.

Table Tennis England Head of Development and Volunteering, Greg Yarnall is excited about the opportunity of working with a recognised primary schools provider that deliver in over 15% of primary schools nationally, said the partnership would open up many more opportunities for young people to experience table tennis and, by working with clubs, allow those young people to continue their participation through the club network.

Yarnall said: “The partnership has been possible largely due to the new TT Kidz initiative, which will form the basis of Premier Activity Professionals delivery across primary schools,  Premier see table tennis as a fantastic sport to offer to the schools they work with.

“We know that clubs often find it difficult to send coaches in to a school on a regular basis due to the nature of the working week and working in partnership with Premier will be about complimenting and working with clubs to raise awareness of table tennis locally and to help form and enhance school-club links.

“All Premier Activity Professionals will get full training to deliver table tennis and we hope to use the opportunity to take table tennis to thousands more young people across the country.”

Jane Hannah, Partnership Manager at Premier Education said: “Premier are delighted to be working in partnership with Table Tennis England as the official primary schools delivery partner.

“TTKidz is a fun and engaging game that we are excited to take to children across the country. We will be targeting breakfast and after-school clubs along with supporting community table tennis clubs to ensure we inspire children beyond the school gates to join local clubs.”
