She was 28 the last time the Olympics came to Great Britain just after World War Two – and now a Swansea table tennis legend has been picked to represent her home city in the build-up to the London 2012 Games. Betty Gray, a 91-year-old from Treboeth, has been selected as a Torchbearer for the Olympic Flame’s journey through Swansea at the end of May.

The pensioner, one of the oldest Torchbearers picked in Wales, is one of over 20 people of all ages who will take part in the Swansea leg of the Flame’s trip around the world.
