Places are still available on the upcoming Level 1 Umpires’ course at Grantham, costing just £30.
The course is split between two days on Sunday February 11 and Saturday April 7, with the first day focusing on communication skills, the role of an umpire; how to prepare a court for the match; service laws; decision making; calling and showing the score correctly and learning the hand signals. The second day will involve a lot of practical practice and practical assessments with qualified umpires.
