The regional winners of the Pride of Table Tennis Awards will be announced in the New Year, with the shortlist for the national awards to follow.

The announcements are the next stages of the Pride of Table Tennis Awards, after the Club and League Volunteers of the Year were revealed in September, with an amazing 69 volunteers receiving recognition.

This year’s nominations have been outstanding, showing the amazing commitment and dedication our volunteers have.

The regional awards are broken down into 10 regions, with the following four awards: Regional Volunteer of the Year, Regional Young Volunteer of the Year, Regional Coach of the Year and Regional Contribution to Table Tennis Award.

Following the regional winners announcement in the New Year, the National Panel will select Table Tennis England’s Pride of Table Tennis national shortlist from among the regional the winners and in the other national award categories, these are:

Young Volunteer of the Year
Coach of the Year
Contribution to Table Tennis
Technical Official of the Year
Inclusivity Award
Inspirational Stories
Partner of the Year
Club of the Year

The national panel comprises: Table Tennis England Chief Executive Sara Sutcliffe, Chairman Sandra Deaton, Board member Mike Smith, Head of Development & Volunteering Greg Yarnall and three table tennis volunteers who applied for the positon. The panel will meet on Wednesday January 3, at Table Tennis England’s HQ.

The shortlisted finalists will be invited to the Pride of Table Tennis Awards on Saturday March 3, an evening celebration on the Saturday of the PG Mutual National Championships, where the national Pride of Table Tennis champions of 2017 will be revealed.
