Table Tennis England is offering a big opportunity to young people who want to build a career in the sport.

Today, we unveil our Traineeship and Apprenticeship programme, which will see young people aged 16-24 have the chance to learn all aspects of our work.

As well as gaining sports development experience, those on the programme will also work towards a level 2 certificate in Business and Administration.

The Traineeship programme, in partnership with Icon Training, is aimed at young people aged 16-24, and consists of a minimum of 100 hours’ work experience over 8-12 weeks, where they will gain an understanding of all departments within our business, and learn practical and vocational skills to help develop their CV and employability.

Following these Traineeships, there will be the opportunity for successful trainees to progress into 12 month, full-time paid Apprenticeship roles within Table Tennis England, whilst also gaining a level 2 qualification in Customer Service.

Table Tennis England Chief Executive Sara Sutcliffe said:

This is great opportunity for any young person passionate about sport to make a significant step towards a career in sports development, while gaining valuable on-the-job experience.
